Wendel is a Buffalo-based innovative architecture, engineering, energy efficiency, and construction management firm that collaborates with private and public entities to approach facility and infrastructure projects. The company contracted 19 Ideas to design and develop a new website that:

The site’s primary audience is members of the public and private sectors who align with Wendel’s four main practice areas (architecture, engineering, construction management, and energy efficiency). Prospective employees are identified as a secondary audience.
Getting Down to Business
19 Ideas started by evaluating the current site’s architecture, SEO performance, user experience, and messaging. Discovery meetings between Wendel and our team offered valuable insights into the industry’s nuances and Wendel’s unique position in it.
After completing discovery and research, we moved to the subsequent phases of our proprietary website process for content strategy, wireframing, and high-fidelity key page design that aligns with the client’s project goals.
To meet Wendel’s needs, we designed and built a custom portfolio to spotlight its many sophisticated projects. Additionally, a new career section streamlines the application experience for job seekers while sharing Wendel’s values.
After launch, we performed final assessments to ensure ADA compliance and cross-device optimization. Tracking pixels and Google Analytics were implemented to monitor the website’s long-term performance.
