All entries submitted to the Web Excellence Awards program will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

1. Innovation and creativity
2. Functionality and usability
3. Content and overall user experience
4. Visual design and aesthetics
5. Technical quality and performance
6. Overall experience and impact

Once entries are closed, a panel of judges will review each entry and select the winners. All decisions are at the sole discretion of the Web Excellence Awards program and its judges.

To ensure an equitable evaluation, we kindly request that submissions adhere to specific formats tailored to each category, taking into consideration the unique characteristics of the project type:

• Website: Please provide a direct URL for the judges to access and evaluate your website. If it’s password-protected, kindly include the necessary login credentials for judging purposes. Ensure the web address is valid and remains active after the submission date. In addition to the URL, feel free to include detailed instructions that highlight key features and functionalities. You may also provide supplementary materials, such as presentations, videos, or any other supporting documentation that will help the judges understand what sets your website apart. These materials will offer deeper insights into the user experience, design choices, and the overall impact of your project, helping to showcase why your website is deserving of recognition.
• Advertising & Marketing: Please provide a direct URL that showcases the creative elements of your campaign or links to each individual component. In addition to the URL, ensure to highlight key details such as the campaign’s objectives, target audience, strategy, and measurable results. Judges will be evaluating the overall impact and effectiveness of your campaign, with a strong focus on concept, strategy, and execution, rather than just individual design elements. Providing data and insights that demonstrate how your campaign achieved its goals will help the judges fully appreciate its success and originality.
• Video & Podcast: Please provide a direct URL for the judges to conveniently access your video or podcast content. Ensure that the link leads to the full project, or include links to each individual episode or video if applicable. You may also provide complementary materials, such as a presentation or background information, to help the judges understand the context, production process, and key highlights of the content. If your video or podcast is password-protected, please include the necessary login details for judging purposes. This category focuses on the creativity, engagement, and quality of your video or podcast, so be sure to showcase the most impactful elements of your work.
• Apps & Mobile: Please provide a direct URL to access your app, or links to each creative element associated with it. Ensure to include detailed instructions for navigating the app and understanding its key features. You may also provide complementary materials, such as a presentation or video, that help guide the judges through a demonstration of how the app works. If the app is password-protected or requires special access, please include the necessary login details for judging purposes. These materials will help the judges fully grasp the app’s functionality, user experience, and overall design.
• Social Media: Please provide a direct URL that showcases your social media work, including posts, campaigns, or profiles relevant to your entry. If the content is spread across multiple platforms, include links to each of them. If your page or profile is password-protected, please provide the necessary login credentials. Additionally, you may include complementary materials, such as presentations, videos, or analytics reports, to help the judges understand the campaign’s impact and engagement. We evaluate creativity, strategy, audience engagement, and overall effectiveness in achieving goals. Highlight the unique aspects of your social media presence to give the judges a clear understanding of what makes your work stand out.
• Features & Design: Please provide a direct URL to your work for the judges to evaluate both its features and design. We are looking for works that stand out in terms of functionality, user experience, and aesthetic appeal. Please include detailed instructions or explanations highlighting the key features of the site, such as unique functionalities, interactive elements, or technical innovations. You may also include complementary materials, such as videos or presentations, to help the judges better understand the design and how the website’s features work together to create an exceptional user experience. If the website is password-protected, please provide the necessary login credentials for the judges.

Please note that all correspondence regarding the competition will be directed exclusively to the contact person specified in the entry form. Only they have the authority to modify their submission. We welcome submissions from all around the globe, encompassing various languages. While we value this diversity, including an English version, if possible, will aid in evaluation and garner wider recognition. For video content and podcasts, exploring options such as English dubbing or subtitles can be beneficial.

Participating in the Web Excellence Awards competition requires an entry fee of €90.00 per category. Entry fees are used to ensure high-quality projects are submitted and to promote our winners in multiple channels. We accept payments through major credit cards and other payment platforms; however, payment options may vary depending on your location. Before submission, please ensure that your entry meets the eligibility requirements.

Please note that entry fees are refundable only until the submission deadline. Once the judging process begins, we are unable to issue any refunds. We strongly encourage all participants to carefully review the competition’s rules and regulations and submit any refund requests, if needed, before the deadline. After that point, we regretfully cannot accommodate refund requests.

Winner trophies and certificates are custom-produced; therefore, these purchases are non-refundable.
