GUIDELINES & ELIGIBILITY
The Web Excellence Awards competition is open to individuals and organizations involved in developing websites, digital media content, marketing and advertising campaigns, social media projects, and other related projects. If you have submitted a project in a past Web Excellence Awards competition, it is still eligible for the current competition.
There is no limit to the number of entries you may submit or the number of categories you may enter. Submitting your entry in multiple categories may increase your chances of winning an award for your project. The contact person who submits the entry will receive all communications regarding the Web Excellence Awards competition. Only the contact person may make changes to an entry.
All entries received will be reviewed and evaluated. Any submissions deemed inappropriate or discriminatory and offensive in nature will be disqualified with no refund of fees. Therefore, we encourage all participants to submit entries that are respectful, inclusive, and suitable for all audiences.
Below is a list of criteria that entries will be evaluated on:
- Innovation and creativity
- Functionality and usability
- Content and overall user experience
- Visual design and aesthetics
- Technical quality and performance

THE ENTRY PROCESS
Websites
To enter your website in the Web Excellence Awards competition, please provide a direct URL that will guide our judges to the specific work to be evaluated. If your website is password-protected, please provide us with a username and password for judging purposes.
Advertising & Marketing
For advertising and marketing entries, please provide a direct URL that will guide our judges to a single HTML page containing the creative elements of the campaign, or links to each element. You are allowed to provide background information, stats, and other details about the campaign as part of the entry on the same HTML page. If your entry is password-protected, please provide us with a username and password for judging purposes.
Video & Podcast
To enter your video or podcast in the Web Excellence Awards competition, please provide a direct URL that will guide our judges to the specific work to be evaluated. If your website or entry is password-protected, please provide us with a username and password for judging purposes.
Apps & Mobile
To enter your mobile app in the Web Excellence Awards competition, please provide a direct URL that will guide our judges to the mobile page or an HTML page containing a download link for the application or links to each creative element of the submitted work. You are allowed to provide background information, stats, and other details about the entry on the same HTML page. If your entry is password-protected, please provide us with a username and password for judging purposes.
Social
For social entries, please provide a direct URL that will guide our judges to a single HTML page containing your work for that entry only. In case the page is password-protected, please provide us with credentials for login for our judges. Your HTML page should include all supporting elements for social entries containing multiple components. This will ensure that your entry will be fully evaluated and will allow you to provide the full scope of your work for judging.
To enter your print work in the Web Excellence Awards competition, please provide a direct URL that will guide our judges to a single HTML page containing your scanned work for that entry only. If your entry is password-protected, please provide us with a username and password for judging purposes. In some cases, we may ask you to send a hard copy of your entry or all items in your branding campaign to our mailing address for evaluation.
NON-ENGLISH ENTRIES
The Web Excellence Awards program encourages entries from around the world in different languages. However, we highly recommend providing an English version of your entry, if available. If your entry is in a foreign language and reviewed by an English-speaking judge, it will be translated using translation tools.
For games and podcasts submitted to the Web Excellence Awards competition, we highly recommend dubbing or subtitling video content and podcasts into English. For other entries that cannot be translated using tools such as Google Translate or Deepl, please provide a translation or at least an explanation of your work in English in the project description.
Providing an English version of your entry is beneficial because it allows our judges to better understand and evaluate your work. It also allows your work to be shared with a wider audience and potentially gain more recognition within the industry.
So, if possible, please provide an English version of your entry or a translation or explanation in English in the project description. This will ensure that your entry is fully evaluated and has the best chance of being recognized as the best in the field.
METHODS OF PAYMENT
The Web Excellence Awards program accepts payment with major credit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. We do not accept inappropriate, fake, discriminatory and offensive entries, and these types of entries will be disqualified with no refund of fees. Please ensure that your entry meets the eligibility requirements before submitting it.
Entry fees do not guarantee that an entrant will be awarded. However, timely submission of an entry meeting the eligibility requirements and payment of the entry fee ensures that the entrant’s work will be reviewed and considered for recognition.
Please note that no other representation or warranty is made by the Web Excellence Awards program concerning entries, and all implied warranties are expressly disclaimed. We encourage all participants to read and understand the rules and regulations of the competition before submitting their entries. ENTRY FEES
The submission fee for each category in the Web Excellence Awards competition is €90.00. Entry fees are used to ensure high-quality projects are submitted and to promote our winners in multiple channels. However, you are allowed to make changes to your entry after submission, but please note that cancellation of the entry is not possible.
Please ensure that your entry meets the eligibility requirements and has been submitted correctly before the judging process begins. The Web Excellence Awards program is not responsible for incorrect entries that are submitted.
A receipt or invoice for entry fees will be generated by the entry form submission process. Please retain this receipt for your records. Entry fees are non-refundable, even if an application is not awarded. Therefore, we encourage all participants to carefully review the rules and regulations of the competition and submit their best work for consideration.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The Web Excellence Awards program assumes that all entries are original and that the entrant either owns the submission or has obtained permission from the client or another appropriate party to enter the work, with all rights granted therein. If an entrant without such rights submits an entry, the entrant will not be eligible for the competition. The Web Excellence Awards program is not liable for any copyright infringement on the part of the entrant.
Submission of any entry acknowledges the right of the Web Excellence Awards program to use it for exhibition and publication in any medium. However, if an entrant wishes to keep their submission private, they may make a written request to the Web Excellence Awards program. Submission of all entries acknowledges the right of the Web Excellence Awards program to use them for exhibition, promotion, and publication purposes in any medium.
If a submission receives an award from the Web Excellence Awards program, the manner and details of announcing such nomination and award are strictly within the discretion of the program. Entrants understand that all awards may not be given or publicized in the same manner or form.
