Virginia Health Information is the state’s official health data authority, but its old website did not reflect that. It was outdated and organized around internal departments instead of the people who actually needed it: researchers, policymakers, healthcare professionals, employers, and consumers trying to make sense of their care options.
Mindgrub rebuilt VHI.org around what those users were trying to accomplish. A new visual identity drawing on Virginia’s landscape, paired with a stronger blue palette and a clearer typographic system, gave the brand a look that is both distinct and credible. Behind it, a full library of reusable components brought consistency to search, reporting, account management and e-commerce, built with accessibility and mobile performance in mind from the start.
The site ties five very different functions (public resource, data authority, reporting platform, marketplace and account-based service) into one coherent experience.
