For Viking Aggregation‘s digital rebrand, we created a distinctive visual identity for this mortgage broker aggregation platform that reinterprets its namesake heritage through a sophisticated contemporary lens.
Faced with the challenge of standing out in a homogeneous financial services sector, we developed a distinctive approach that avoided clichéd Norse imagery while still honouring the Viking name. Our solution centres on abstract glyphs inspired by Viking symbology but reimagined for a modern context, creating a unique visual language that appeals to high-performing mortgage brokers.
The design features a bold colour palette dominated by a vivid Blue to evoke trust and reliability, with strategic bright Orange accents providing energy and focus. Our typography strategy pairs Cormorant Bold for headings—evoking the ornamental characteristics of Viking-era typography—with clean, geometric Poppins for body copy, creating a perfect balance of heritage and contemporary sophistication.
One of the most distinctive elements is our innovative use of V and K letterforms as photographic masks, creating visual interest while reinforcing brand recognition. These elements are complemented by elegant wave patterns and network motifs that symbolise connectivity and aggregation.
The user experience is structured around Viking Aggregation’s core proposition as the home for aspirational brokers, with intuitive sector-based navigation highlighting residential, commercial, and asset finance specialties. The clean, minimalist interfaces convey professionalism and technological sophistication, positioning Viking Aggregation as a forward-thinking partner for ambitious brokers.
