At the University of Georgia (UGA), research isn’t just about discovery, it’s about impact. This website was designed to showcase that innovation in a way that’s impossible to ignore. From the moment visitors land on the page, movement guides them forward. A dynamic scrolling effect seamlessly leads users through UGA’s research breakthroughs, while a left-aligned navigation breaks convention, creating a fresh, engaging interaction. Bold headlines, immersive visuals, and intuitive UX compel viewers to explore what’s next at UGA.
But great design in a peer awareness campaign means little without engagement. UGA’s goal was clear: build reputation among top-tier academic leaders and decision-makers. Through list-based and geotargeted digital ads, we reached the right audience—and they took action. The results speak for themselves: 343 of 435 targeted institutions engaged (78% interaction rate), 13.86 million ad impressions, 30.7K clicks, and an average time-on-page of 57 seconds. Beyond metrics, the campaign resonated where it mattered most, driving meaningful engagement back to the website.
We set out to break the mold of standard academic websites—ditching static layouts and predictable navigation for an experience that informs, immerses, and inspires. The impact? A stronger connection between research and the world, proving that a university’s digital presence can be as groundbreaking as its work.
