My QuitBuddy is a free, native iOS and Android Australian Government app designed to solve one of the hardest parts of quitting smoking or vaping: staying motivated when cravings, setbacks and everyday pressures get in the way.
Rather than working as a static information tool, My QuitBuddy acts as a personalised behaviour-change companion. Users can create quit plans, identify high-risk “danger times”, access craving and distraction tools, track health and financial progress, celebrate milestones and recover from slip-ups without being treated as though the quit attempt has failed.
The recent redesign simplified the interface, improved accessibility, refreshed the visual language and evolved the service from a smoking-only tool into one that also supports vapers and dual users, within one calm, intuitive experience. Behavioural analytics help improve the service over time, while a privacy-conscious architecture avoids storing personally identifiable information.
The app has more than 1.7 million downloads, and internal data shows 25.6% of vapers and 24.0% of smokers using the app have recorded quitting. My QuitBuddy turns public health advice into practical, free support that people can reach whenever they need it.
