Wildbird (formerly Jili Allen Creative) partnered with Another Way, a charity focused on youth engagement, community connection, and sustainability, to create a vibrant, user-centred website that better reflects this charity’s mission.
The project began with in-depth research to define a diverse target audience, including environmentally conscious individuals, young people, families, community advocates, and potential corporate partners. Insights highlighted the need for an engaging, accessible platform that appeals across age groups while capturing the attention of younger users.
The existing website lacked energy and clarity, prompting a full redesign centred on user experience and sustainability. The new visual approach emphasised colour, movement, and warmth, using vibrant palettes, hand-drawn doodles, and organic shapes to create a youthful and inclusive feel. Motion graphics, animated transitions, and subtle interactive elements were introduced to guide users smoothly through the site. Pairing colourful graphics with black-and-white imagery helped maintain visual impact while supporting a lower carbon footprint.
Development focused on sustainability and performance within the charity’s aims and ethos. The site uses eco-conscious, renewable-energy-powered hosting and lightweight coding to reduce load times and server demands. A fully responsive design ensures seamless use across devices, while an intuitive CMS enables the Another Way team to manage content independently.
The result is a dynamic digital hub that strengthens community engagement and promotes sustainable action.
