Wonder Media Network (WMN), a women-owned and operated podcast production studio in NYC, embarked on a mission six years ago to amplify underrepresented voices through storytelling. Since then, they’ve evolved into an award-winning creative studio, producing a diverse array of compelling content. To reflect this growth and position WMN thoughtfully for current and prospective clients, they partnered with Massive to design and develop a website that encapsulates their ethos and innovative approach.
The design challenge was to create a dynamic yet elegant system that allowed the WMN brand to shine without overshadowing the unique identities of the podcasts they produce. The solution was a dual-function website: one that positions the WMN brand at the forefront on key pages, like the homepage and about page, while also serving as a flexible gallery that highlights the distinct branding of individual podcasts on their detail pages.
A key innovation was rethinking how users engage with podcast audio on the web. Most podcast sites rely on basic, third-party media players, but WMN’s new site features a custom-built library of audio player modules. These modules are fully owned by WMN, enabling a seamless, branded listening experience that enhances engagement and storytelling.
The design is elevated by thoughtful animations that ensure a smooth, immersive experience without sacrificing accessibility, usability, or performance. The result is a pioneering website that not only captures WMN’s commitment to quality and impact but also equips them to scale their influence in the years to come.
