When Wandsworth was named London Borough of Culture 2025, we set out to build a website that would capture the energy of the borough and unite six separate platforms into one vibrant hub.
The result is Welcome to Wandsworth, a living, breathing cultural ecosystem that makes it effortless for residents, visitors, and creatives to discover, participate in, and contribute to cultural life.
Built with accessibility at its core, the site combines joyful visual design with powerful functionality: unified search and filtering, seamless ticket booking, and a bespoke event submission system that empowers artists to upload their own Fringe events. This transforms the platform into an evolving cultural map shaped by the community itself.
Since launch, website traffic has grown by 165%, and engagement on event pages by 130%, proving its power to connect people through culture.
