United States Geological Survey Store Web Modernization

USGS Store is an E-Commerce platform within USGS, a division of the Department of Interior. In compliance with the federal CIO’s requirements to implement a “Cloud First policy” regarding IT services and applications, partnering companies Sierra7 and Mobomo, LLC upgraded the Store to a cloud computing solution while also increasing its operational efficiencies, reliability, and accessibility. Our modernization efforts have reduced their cloud costs by 30%, reduced virtual machine usage by 50%, and decreased the mean time to respond with application releases by 95%.
