SC is the international conference for high performance computing, networking, storage and analysis. Each year, the Conference General Chair chooses a theme that supports their vision for the year’s annual event. SC26‘s theme takes inspiration from the conference’s host city, Chicago, Illinois. The vibrant and alive energy of the city inspired the mark, color palette and look-and-feel of this year’s visual identity.

The site structure was devised to serve content to a variety of audiences within the HPC community, from seasoned researchers who might submit their work through program calls for participation to students just beginning to build their future in high performance computing. Landing pages for each audience succinctly describe events or opportunities within each section. Content-heavy calls for submissions or applications are housed on interior pages within dropdowns, which were standardized in both structure and content for ease of updating across years and to keep language consistent. Imagery is largely drawn from a vast photo archive of SC attendees, so that conference participants can “see themselves” as they engage with the site.
