The Senior Road Users Hub is a world-class digital platform designed to help older Victorians navigate the sensitive transition of retiring from driving. Developed for the Transport Accident Commission (TAC) in partnership with Thinkerbell, the Hub replaces traditional regulatory tones with a supportive, human-centered experience.
The site features an interactive Self-Reflection Quiz that uses behavioral science to help users assess their own driving health and receive personalized, dignified recommendations for their future mobility. By combining clinical research from Monash University with Age-Positive UX and authentic local storytelling, the Hub empowers senior road users to make informed decisions about their safety without feeling a loss of independence. This project represents a new benchmark for government digital services. It proves that complex behavioral challenges can be solved through empathy, accessibility, and functional design.
