Oak Park Apartments manages nearly 1,600 apartments across 98 buildings in the Chicago area, requiring a website capable of supporting both scale and usability. Their previous site struggled with outdated architecture, unintuitive navigation, and listings managed through blog taxonomy, making it difficult for renters to find available units and for the client to manage inventory efficiently. The goal of this project was to rebuild the website into a modern, intuitive platform that reflects how users expect to search for apartments today, similar to leading rental marketplaces, while preserving existing SEO equity and brand recognition.

We rebuilt the site from the ground up with user experience as the primary driver. The new platform features advanced filtering, a map-based search experience, and a custom inventory architecture that separates apartment data from editorial content, ensuring long-term stability and scalability. Performance and technical SEO improvements led to measurable results, including an 18 percent year-over-year increase in organic search traffic, a 28.1 percent increase in conversions, and a 7 percent increase in engagement time.
