This project delivered a complete digital transformation for Mayfair Prestige UK, a respected luxury automotive specialist, resulting in a fast and fully WCAG 2.2 AA compliant website that reflects the quality and professionalism of the brand. While the physical showroom experience was already exceptional, the previous digital presence lagged behind, running on an unsupported legacy CMS and suffering from performance issues that undermined trust and engagement.
Rather than making incremental improvements, the site was rebuilt entirely on Umbraco v17, providing a modern, scalable platform suited to a fast‑moving luxury automotive business. The redesigned experience focuses on the homepage and vehicle listings, adopting a restrained, editorial‑led approach that brings the private showroom experience online. Clean layouts and subtle calls to action create a calm, confident journey that allows vehicles and brand reputation to lead.
Accessibility and usability were core to the rebuild. Consistent UI patterns and improved readability support full WCAG 2.2 AA compliance across devices. The editorial experience was also transformed, with drag‑and‑drop layouts, live preview and reusable components giving editors full control over site structure and metadata. Time to publish was reduced significantly and reliance on developer support removed.
Performance gains underline the success of the transformation. Lighthouse performance scores increased from 67 to 99, accessibility improved from 89 to 97, and best practice scores rose from 58 to 100 at launch. Mobile performance improved by 102%, reflecting the browsing habits of high‑net‑worth users. Sustainability improvements resulted in an A‑rated Ecograder score and an uptick from D to A on the Website Carbon Calculator.
The result is a considered, high‑performance digital experience that presents luxury vehicles with assurance and sets a strong benchmark for user experience in the automotive sector.
