Promoting a Mission to Resolve
Parkinson’s Disease

Website
Health Care Community

Resolve Parkinson’s is a newly formed 501c3 non-profit organization comprised of an international group of advocates with lived experience of Parkinson’s disease. The founders of Resolve Parkinson’s, all Parkinson’s patients, are dedicated to using their knowledge and patient voice to bring about systemic change in how Parkinson’s is both identified and treated.

They are on an urgent mission to create what they see as a paradigm shift in what has been an unsuccessful effort by the global healthcare and research community to prevent, treat, and cure Parkinson’s disease. And they seek to amplify the voice of all patients with lived experience of Parkinson’s disease as a means of improving outcomes in care and research.

Brave River worked with the Resolve Parkinson’s board leadership team to fully understand the organization’s mission, thought leadership, target audiences, and goals for the website. The result is a website with a focus on promoting awareness and understanding of the complex issues surrounding the problems with the Parkinson’s Disease system of care and research efforts, and engagement for the organization’s key audiences. The new website now serves as a hub from which they can grow awareness, participation, and funding for their global mission.

The site features visually distinct, segmented pathways for each audience type to share their experiences, and an engaging introduction to the disease’s impact on “The Problem” landing page, along with proposed solutions and their vision for the future on “A New Paradigm” page. Issues are quickly visible in a mega-menu that appears on hover for easy discoverability. The site features language translation functionality to connect with Resolve Parkinson’s global audience.
