The Hanover County Economic Development website was redesigned to create a modern, accessible, and audience-focused platform that reflects the County’s strengths as a business destination. The project modernized the user experience, improved mobile performance, and delivered full WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility so users with visual impairments can easily adjust the interface for better readability. We also reorganized a decade of complex content into clearer, more intuitive pathways that help businesses, site selectors, entrepreneurs, and residents find what they need faster. The redesigned site includes improved data presentation, integrated property search tools, enhanced mapping, and a more efficient content management system for County staff. The result is a high-performing, inclusive website that strengthens Hanover County’s economic development marketing and supports the community with a streamlined, user-friendly digital experience.
