As a long term customer, Sternfenster approached ICAAL to rebuild their website in line with their 50th anniversary. Where Sternfenster sits in the Fenestration supply chain, it is really important to have a bespoke journey depending on which sector the user falls into. As a solution, ICAAL developed a homeowner and trade split which quickly navigates people to the right pages on the website, with some content being excluded or displayed differently on each version of the site.

As part of the brief, ICAAL were tasked with creating a bespoke 50 years of Sternfenster landing page on the trade side of the site, with a spinning wheel element which allowed users the chance to win a prize. As part of the build, we developed all of the functionality as well as making the page visually appealing and easy to navigate. Part of the brief needed to restrict the use of the spinner so users wouldn’t be able to re-enter and win multiple prizes.

Alongside this page, ICAAL have created some truly unique content to add throughout the website to set them apart from the competition as well as create a unique offering for their client base. ICAAL designed and built a bespoke product configurator, which was created using CGI assets Sternfenster supplied. From here, the developers created a content block that contains key information about their product offering as well as a 360 view of the windows and doors opening and closing.

The iframe created can also be integrated with ease into any of their customer’s websites, and works as an excellent sales tool to help them win more business.

Colour and glazing is a huge factor when it comes to choosing windows and doors for all sectors, and with such a huge offering, Sternfenster wanted to create a tool that allowed the user to visualise how a window or door could look.

ICAAL has worked with Sternfenster for a number of years to ensure their site is fully SEO optimised and ranking well in the search engines. With every website build, our talented Content team wrote brand new content for the site that would ensure that Sternfenster’s ranking was not affected, similarly, our team ran extensive audits and migrated any other necessary content from the old site to ensure the site wasn’t penalised by Google.

Lead generation is a specialism at ICAAL and all of our websites are designed with lead capture in mind. To achieve this, we’ve included relevant CTAs throughout the website as well as sticky CTAs that follow the user around the website. On the homeowner version of the site, we implemented our ‘Find an Installer’ functionality which we built for Sternfenster during the first build of their site. This tool allows homeowners to find installers local to them whilst working as a lead capture form which is API’d into a secure lead dashboard that we developed. All leads that come in are automatically assigned to the nearest installer in the area and they receive a lead notification direct to their email which directs them to the dashboard to use the full CRM functionality we built in.
