The brief was to create a stand-out website to improve the Fenwick & Tilbrook brand perception.
It’s a premium quality paint at a price point accessible to the typical domestic market, competing with large, established competitors who dominate the market, such as https://www.littlegreene.com/ and https://www.farrow-ball.com/ – but who are much more expensive.
The other gripe with the market leaders is that painters and decorators don’t like them and find them difficult to work with compared to cheaper domestic paint brands, such as Dulux or Crown.
The website had to be clean, attractive, informative and easy to use on different devices. It also had to include custom search behaviour to allow for misspellings using ‘ where found in the product name, for example, as well as affiliate functionality and management features for their interior decorator partners for whom they create bespoke colours for reselling, and a unique colour scheme builder tool (as found in the bottom-right of most pages).
