Colab Lighting makes some of Australia’s finest architectural luminaires — and a significant proportion of them are built right here, in their Sydney manufacturing facility.
Welcome designed and built the CoLab Lighting website for an audience that doesn’t respond to marketing fluff: architects, lighting designers, specifiers, and electrical contractors who need photometric data, compliance certificates, and bespoke customisation options before they’ll consider specifying a product. The site had to earn their trust technically, not just visually.
The result is a platform that operates on both levels simultaneously. Sector-specific service pathways span eight environments from healthcare to hospitality. An extensive product range — including CoLab’s proprietary Nano-Track and 48VDC systems — is backed by downloadable datasheets and an interactive digital catalogue. A dedicated Collaboration section articulates CoLab’s bespoke-first methodology, and completed project case studies demonstrate that methodology across real builds.
At its core, the CoLab website does what great specification tools do: it builds trust, reduces risk, and makes it easy for design professionals to say yes. And it looks good doing it.
