Shocked to realise the fees charities were charged for selling tickets to fundraising events, we set about creating a way that charities could sell tickets whilst keeping all of the proceeds for themselves. We were also keen to avoid the method of just passing the cost to the ticket-buyer.

Despite being a new feature, it’s already raised thousands of pounds for charity and saved hundreds of pounds in fees. activibees.com charges charities 0% platform fees and 9% payment processing fees thanks to teaming with an Open Banking partner who don’t charge any fees to charities.
The addition of this feature has meant small charities, such as PTFAs, have been able to free up volunteer and school office time by moving their ticket sales online – something that wasn’t practical to do when ticket prices and only £2.
Meanwhile, a fun run hoping to raise £25,000 for Creating Memories who work to create treasured memories for people living with life limiting illnesses, and The Road Victims Trust who offer practical and emotional support to individuals who have been affected by the trauma and grief of serious road collisions, can finally go ahead. Typically with a fun run the proceeds from the ticket sales go towards putting on the event. The team behind the Bedford Charity Chase have always wanted to put on an event where they source the funds for the logistics separately and ALL the money raised from ticket sales goes to charity. Now, with activibees, they’ve been able to realise this ambition.
